What is the working principle of self-priming pump?

The working principle of the self-priming pump is that the pump casing is filled with water before the pump is started (or the pump casing contains water itself). The working principle of self-priming pump


The working principle of the external mixing self-priming pump is: before the pump starts, fill the pump casing with water (or the pump casing itself contains water). After starting, the impeller rotates at high speed to make the water in the impeller channel flow to the volute. At this time, the inlet forms a vacuum, which opens the water inlet check door, and the air in the suction pipe enters the pump and reaches the outer edge through the impeller channel. On the other hand, the water discharged into the air-water separation chamber by the impeller flows back to the outer edge of the impeller through the left and right return holes. Under the effect of pressure difference and gravity, the water flowing back from the left return hole is shot into the impeller channel and crushed by the impeller. After mixing with the air from the suction pipe, it is thrown towards the volute and flows in the direction of rotation.

The internal mixing self-priming pump has the same working principle as the external mixing self-priming pump.

Most self-priming pumps are equipped with internal combustion engines and are installed on movable carts, which is suitable for field operations.

 

Application range of self-priming pump


1. After installing the rocker sprinkler, the water can be sprayed into the air and dispersed into small raindrops for spraying. It is a good machine for farms, nurseries, orchards and vegetable gardens.

2. It is suitable for clean water, sea water, chemical medium liquid with acid and alkalinity and slurry with general paste (medium viscosity <100 centipoise, solid content up to 30%).

3. It can be used with any type and specification of filter press. The most suitable pump for filter press when the slurry is sent to the filter press.

 

Cooling chamber of self-priming sewage pump


  A cooling chamber can also be provided at the bottom of the bearing body of the self-priming sewage pump. When the bearing body temperature rises more than 70 degrees due to the heat of the bearing, it can be injected into the cooling chamber through any cooling pipe joint and injected with cooling fluid to circulate for cooling. The sealing mechanism inside the pump to prevent the leakage of liquid from the high-pressure area to the low-pressure area is the front and rear seal rings. The front seal ring is installed on the pump body, and the rear seal ring is installed on the bearing body. When the pump is worn for a long time, the seal ring wears to a certain extent, and When it affects the efficiency and self-priming performance of the self-priming pump, it should be replaced.
